Silk Shibori 12 by 12 inch Cushions – For sale ( in case your wondering :) )

I’ve come to the conclusion that i love small cushions. they’re just so nice to hold and throw about. the big fellows tend to take up space, almost act like pillows but the smaller fellows are just right, fitting into all the right  nooks and cranny’s . Actually i like really small cushions or really really big ones !! like floor pillows !!! now theres a plan !

Spirit Stoles

Finally here are few of the stoles we made during naf ’s visit home!! As you can see we pretty much tried a range of techniques, tried a few new, explored a few old, it was a fun experiance, im certainly doing things a bit differently. i love it when people come and ideas are churned about all the stoles are made form pure silk, about 2 meters in length.

Trying my hand at Shibori stoles – 1

I finally got around to putting  snaps of my stoles! I Gave up on trying to find a model and finally settled on this beautiful piece of driftwood that has been sitting in my room ever since i can remember,cant believe i didn’t notice it before.

These pieces are not entirely silk, i believe they’re a polyester and silk blend and are about 2 meters in length .

Silk and Lycra Stoles – Potato Line

These are a set of woven stoles i designed for a design studio in bangalore. the inspiration for these stoles was ‘Seedpods’. There was a lot of process involved which i will be including later in to the same post. They are essentially Lycra and Silk. the Lyrca allows a range of textures to be woven, depending on the spacing of the yarns,the combinations etc.
