well fine, for some of you this may not be GIANT but its the biggest piece i’ve ever done …. its exactly a meter in breadth and about 44 inches in length if my memory serves me right . In this particular one i have taken  Khadi  cotton cloth and dyed it in two colours, yellow and then black, using napthol dyes . hopefully bigger and better ones to come !!!

i love donkeys, and i love the beach, and well, if you ask my why i chose to do a donkey above a cluster of shells, i could go in to quite a bit of explaining. And for once i don’t really feel like explaining my work, feel free to derive you own reason as to why there is a donkey and shells :)

Got another order. this time i actually visited the house and got to see the space where the owners planned to put the piece, the floors are this muddy red and all the furniture is dark brown, there are bits or green here and there and the walls are cream. the space where the piece will come is right next to french windows looking out into a garden. since the room was earthy and on the darker side i figured the piece should be different hues of the same colour with a lighter green than previously used…. ill try to take a pic of the piece in its space and post it up here :)

These are a set of woven stoles i designed for a design studio in bangalore. the inspiration for these stoles was ‘Seedpods’. There was a lot of process involved which i will be including later in to the same post. They are essentially Lycra and Silk. the Lyrca allows a range of textures to be woven, depending on the spacing of the yarns, the combinations etc.
