Hi Sarah
I left Dibba on the 30th June 1984 so you probably heard my voice pre-natal(y)- your Mom had the largest, roundest tummy I’d ever seen in her weight class, and you could be right about popping out a BIG mama yourself!
Anyway I finally checked out your blog and I am SOOOOOOOO impressed! Your work is extraordinary! I am mesmerized with your creativity and your ability to use the darndest things to make pretty stuff!
Very, very proud of you! Waiting for more! Send your catalogue with your folks to Coorg so we can check out your wares at leisure!!

Hi Sarah
I’m Nafisa’s mom.
Just to congratulate you on such imaginative and original work. I also have a keen interest in ‘surfaces’ (a new word learnt from my designer daughter!!) However it is always something that fits into the spaces left after a busy schedule of being mom, wife, friend and of course my own professional interest (I run an organisation that works with deaf children and families). Its wonderful to see someone dedicated enough to take the talent and run with it and create pieces of beauty!
I do patch work myself and have made bed covers. Each piece is sewed onto a base fabric by hand, so it takes forever. Am designing another one where I hope to work in squares! Probably easier. Will try and send you a picture of my most recent piece. Do you attach your pieces with fabric glue?
Have also done a lot of crochet…made Nafisa a crazy blanket!
I hope I will be able to meet you and see some of your work in person some day!
