Another little something amma( my mother) is working on, it basically a small mirror with a really detailed dry flower arrangement done on top.
I absolutely love this snap, the work is so delicate and you can almost smell it through your computer screen. So, as with the spice rings, if you want to get in touch with her, or if you like what you see and would like to own one of your own, please do let me know, i will pass on the message

Paper Earrings with a traditional touch

This is just something im working on in my spare time. its amazing but all the mini sculptures in the picture are made from 3/4th of the front cover of a cornflakes carton. so when you think about it, the material to make these is just lying around, doing sweet nothings, just waiting for us to come and get creative.

To the Dogs …
Posted by umoya under Uncategorized | Tags: dogs, miniature, paper, stray, wire |Leave a Comment
When i was in college me and my house mates used to take care of about 9 dogs, all street dogs but dogs non the less. we medicatd them when they were sick, set bones right, gave injections, sheltered, collared, sterilized.. the only thing we were adament about was not feeding them cos otherwise they wouldn t know how to fend for themselves. Anyway, cutting a long story short, during the stray dog problem in Bangalore, a lot of dogs were being brutally killed. so we tried everything to make sure our fellows were left alone. But inspite of everything a van came in the night and picked up most of them. So these miniature models are made in remembrance of them
