Hey Everyone !

recently my blog was featured at http://homefurnituredepot.net/blog_awards/index.php?id=7053 . I am just so grateful to the people at home furniture depot ( http://homefurnituredepot.net) who found my work interesting enough to post it on their site . Thank you !!!! truly means a lot to me :)

Some may object to me putting a picture of the cake i made for my friend Elsa( on her birthday )on a work blog, but i honestly think it is pure art !!! We went wild !! It one hundered percent Vegan, no egg, no milk, no butter . the icing was just cashew and sugar. The theme was sort of a lotus pond with a flowers and a tiny frog on one of the leaves. it was a lot of fun making and even more fun eating!

Do tell me what you think!!

i know its been ages since i posted last. Thing have been Super busy and there has been a lot of neaw work but no time to photograph any of it !!!!

Firstly, i had another exhibition in November !! I was one of the many stall owners at Utsav 2009 and it was a great privilage to be among such veterain designers. This was not an art exhibiton like the last show i had in 2008. I showcased my work in both Kottyam and Cochin, mostly stoles, cushion covers, napkin box covers, shawls etc. It was brilliant !!

I recently got an order to make a 200 cm by 200 cm shibori piece for a dubay cover. it was the first time i was working with so much cloth and it nearly drove me insane ! The colour, size, design ..everything was a challenge at that size. But the outcome at the end of it all was not too bad so there might be hope for shibori sarees and bed spreads in the future yet !

Recently i decided to spruce up my packaging! Well, actually the truth is i ran out of my usual chart paper and had to make do with a piece of white chart paper. So out came the paint, out came the block and out came a brilliant new idea !!!!

hey everyone, for those of you who dont know, i just came back from the most brilliant trip to the foot hills of the Himalayas !!! i wish i could post some snaps here but i promised myself this would be a work blog so, lets see… might bend the rules this once :)

otherwise ive been busy with orders as usual, most of the work im doing look similar to the work i have already posted so to avoid repeats im not going to put up snaps of those. although yesterday i did make two stoles which i really really liked, so even though the snaps were taken in a rush, here they are !

Miriam, my most brilliant model has returned to the UK, so heres our friendly driftwood piece again. Anyone willing to model my stoles for me? anyone?

And Im back with more work ! :)

As you know i recently had an odrder to do a collection on Kerala which included stoles cushions and art. you’ve seen the stoles and cushion cover, here is what i came up with in terms of Shibori art ! as you know all the cloth is hand dyed by me using Shobori, the Japanese technique of dyeing silk.
